The Food Hub was designed to enable market access for small producers, and to make it easier for buyers to make local food choices. Over the long term, we're committed to:
As part of our mandate, we run a weekly outdoor market through the summer as well as two indoor markets during the "off-season". An effort is made to give returning vendors and food producer members of the co-operative priority in the application process. Other considerations when approving vendors include: commitment to sustainable production practices, locality, & uniqueness of product.
